On August 3rd when we launched BeSure Events we really had no idea how it was going to go, what success could or should look like: we just knew that it felt right. After individually finding ourselves redundant due to the effects of Covid-19, this was a leap that we always wanted to take but needed that little push and a ‘what have we got to lose’ kind of attitude to go with it.

Three was in fact the magic number when we announced Natalie Shaw to the team on November 3rd - exactly three months later. After that, we began to soar and signed our first three clients before Christmas, which continued into 2021 - a kind of success that we had dreamed about but just wasn't sure was possible in the current climate.

The biggest challenge we faced individually was believing in ourselves that we could do this & had a place in our beloved industry, which between us we have over thirty years’ experience. We started the business with no clients following us to transition from live to virtual events. This meant we found ourselves in a position where upskilling, networking and a robust sales plan were essential to stand out from the crowd and secure business.

Our advice to any businesswoman about to take that leap is to surround yourself with a team you trust and share similar great values with. None of us could or would want to go it alone that is for sure!

As a three we just ‘get’ each other, we have found our strengths, covered each other’s weaknesses and are always honest with each other. We know that we are three great minds, each bringing something different and equally incredible to the party. Believing in ourselves as a business and our ability to create magical moments in events has really been a game-changer in our success, which we will continue to carry forwards.
