Lime Venue Portfolio welcomes Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium

Lime Venue Portfolio has increased the group’s tally of Premiership football club stadiums with the addition of Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium.

“We all know how important it is for meetings to connect with their communities, be it locally in Brentford, the wider London story, or as a UK representative of elite sport, health, nutrition, and fitness,” said Lime Venue Portfolio sales director, Jo Austin.

The venue recently launched its Christmas events programme, offering exclusively private parties across the festive period.

The Gtech Community Stadium joins other stadiums already within Lime Venue Portfolio, including: Sheffield United’s home, Bramall Lane; Villa Park, home of Aston Villa; Vicarage Road, home of Watford FC; Cardiff City Stadium; The King Power Stadium, Leicester FC; Twickenham; the Kia Oval and Edgbaston, all homes to elite level football, rugby and cricket respectively.

Horwood House Hotel partners with homelessness charity

Independently owned Buckinghamshire country hotel, Horwood House, has teamed up with national homeless charity Crisis, and upcycling company Recoup, to transform an unused, syndicate break-out space into a creative and crafted coffee lounge for delegates, whilst also giving back to communities.

The 120 sqm Crisis Charity Coffee Lounge has been brought to life by a team of Crisis volunteers and members led by Recoup founders Tom Marsh and Ben Lunt. It has been transformed to reflect the horticultural surroundings and history of the hotel, with reclaimed furniture carefully restored to its former glory.

Working closely with Crisis and their coffee partner Volcano Coffee Works, the hotel will be continuing their support with the charity by purchasing coffee beans to fuel delegates in the lounge with 15 per cent of all Volcano coffee purchases made by the hotel going straight to Crisis. Delegates will also be encouraged to support the cause by scanning the QR donation codes on the tables in the lounge.

Pick your perk at the Aberdeen Science Centre

Meeting organisers can benefit from ‘Pick Your Perk’ for events booked for February 1 to March 31, 2023 at Aberdeen Science Centre.

Planners can choose a 10 per cent discount on room hire or opt to get hands-on with an engaging science workshop for delegates. And treats are on offer, with the choice of either complimentary bacon rolls on arrival or muffins at morning break time.

The offer is valid for events of up to 50 delegates, in the centre’s Proton and Neutron Rooms.

Event planners can choose from three purpose-built meeting rooms. The Proton and Neutron Rooms can be used independently for up to 50 delegates each or opened to accommodate around 80 guests in theatre-style seating, while the Electron Room can hold around 40.

The large upper exhibition floor can also be used for conferences with 150 guests and other events such as drinks receptions, while the garden can also be used in warmer weather for BBQs or outdoor cocktails and nibbles.
