M&IT Editor's Lunch heads to Manchester for first summer edition

M&IT partnered with Arabian Adventures and Destination Asia to host eventprofs from across the sector at The Monastery Manchester.

The inaugural Summer Edition of the M&IT Editor's Lunch went down a storm at The Monastery Manchester.

Eventprofs from across the sector gathered at the Grade II listed former Franciscan monastery for a relaxed afternoon of networking, great food and great company.

It was the first time that the much-loved M&IT Editor's Lunch had been held in the summer months, and the first time it had been to Manchester.

Paul Griffiths, chairman of The Monastery Manchester, welcomed attendees by sharing the venue's story of inspiration, determination, love  and community.

M&IT editor Paul Harvey gave his State of the Industry Report, looking at the recent election result and what it means for eventprofs, before Chris Jordan of DM Connections presented on behalf of event partners Arabian Adventures and Destination Asia.

Attendees enjoyed a three course lunch against the magnificent backdrop of the Great Nave, with its soaring columns, stunning stained glass and splendid statues.

M&IT editor Paul Harvey said: "It was so exciting to hold the first ever Summer Edition of the Editor's Lunch in Manchester. It was another hugely enjoyable event - it's fantastic to be able to bring together so many amazing eventprofs for a wonderful meal in a stunning setting. Huge thanks to our partners, Arabian Adventures and Destination Asia, to our incredible venue The Monastery Manchester, and to all the eventprofs who took time out of their busy schedules to join us and help make it such a special event. We've had such wonderful feedback, it's fantastic to see all the posts flying around on social media. I can't wait for the next edition!"

The next M&IT Editor's Lunch is set to take place in November at a yet to be revealed venue.
