Its extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, coupled with its international role in vehicle manufacturing, make it the ideal location for automotive events.

Catalonia is home to first-class circuits and testing facilities such as Applus+ IDIADA, Parcmotor Castellolí and the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, which celebrated its 30th anniversary of hosting the Formula 1 Grand Prix and is host to races in the World Motorcycling Championship including MotoGP. The Rally Catalonia-Costa Daurada, part of the World Rally Championships, is centred around the facilities of PortAventura World in Salou. All are ideal for team testing days and brand presentations.

With its spectacular landscapes in the Pyrenees mountains and on the Costa Brava and Costa Daurada coastline, its safe and scenic routes are driving heaven.

The region’s vibrant ecosystem of companies, research centres and universities is helping to promote innovative approaches to the mobility of the future ensuring Catalonia is at the forefront of the latest trends and developments in the industry.

A hub of sustainable mobility, the Catalan capital Barcelona is the benchmark hub in southern Europe for 5G and innovation. It hosts prestigious events such as Tomorrow. Mobility World Congress, Mobile World Congress and Automobile Barcelona.

There are more than 3,200 electric vehicle charging points throughout the territory.

Catalonia is home to more than 10 congress centres, numerous large-capacity hotels and almost 400,000 sqm of exhibition space at the Fira de Barcelona.
