Malta offers financial assistance to business events

Available now, the beautiful Mediterranean Islands of Malta & Gozo have put together a scheme to assist business events.

Committed to supporting all manner of events taking place on Malta and Gozo, the Malta Tourism Authority has put together a package of support for MICE events with at least ten delegates staying a minimum of two nights. The support can be worth up to €150 per attendee subject to Ts and Cs.

Malta’s excellent performance, taking the right measures at the right time to keep Covid-19 under control, has been acknowledged by the European Commission, the Commonwealth, the World Health Organisation, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation and others. It is now regarded as one of the safest countries to visit.

And with all hotels and restaurants certified by the Malta Tourism Authority that they are compliant with a set of COVID-19 protocols, they provide the highest levels of cleanliness and safety.

Stunning al fresco venues

Here is a selection of beautiful event venues the Islands have to offer for memorable events under the clear Maltese sky:

Fort St Elmo

Dating from the mid-16th century, this star-shaped fort with a stunning hilltop location offers large outdoor areas literally surrounded by centuries of history.

Mediterranean Conference Centre Roof Terrace

The Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta is one of Malta’s landmark event venues. Its rooftop terrace provides glorious views across the famous Grand Harbour.

Ggantija Temples

This prehistoric UNESCO World Heritage site dates back to 3600 BC. Its name derives from the Maltese word for giant and it is set in an extraordinary archaeological landscape on the island of Gozo. Large outdoors areas make the most of this unique backdrop.

Popeye Village

The only film set in Europe, Popeye Village faces the beautiful Anchor Bay with a backdrop of Maltese cliffs. This charming location is ideal for networking events with barbecues, entertainment and a fun after party. Arrive by boat or coach to be greeted by Popeye and the gang serving welcome drinks for an unforgettable occasion.

Lower Barakka Gardens

A peaceful space in the heart of Valletta with spectacular views of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities, it is home to old trees and foliage providing shade for events and many options for set-up.

Villa Bighi

In the southern coastal village of Kalkara, this is one of the finest examples of 19th century neo-classical architecture on the Islands. Its gardens make a glorious event space with stunning views of the natural harbour of Valletta.

Fort St Angelo

Control of this fort has meant control of Malta for more than 1,000 years. Huge open spaces and glorious views make it ideal for outdoor events.
