Where tradition meets innovation

Vienna is internationally recognised as the Capital of Culture and boasts an outstanding range of art and cultural events; nowhere else can meetings be combined so easily with world-class culture.

The imperial flair of past times can be felt and experienced across the city – whilst it is also a modern capital that is constantly evolving and developing further.

With its short distances, many of the city’s recreation and entertainment areas are only a few (walking or public transport) minutes away from its contemporary meeting venues and business districts. Many exciting new hotel projects are revitalising Vienna as a sustainable and complementary meeting destination. Vienna offers more than 350 hotels with around 32,500 rooms to suit all tastes and budgets.

Meet (us) in the extraordinary

Several international rankings and countless satisfied clients confirm that the outstanding standards and high quality of Vienna’s meetings industry together with its excellent infrastructure and cultural offers make the Austrian capital a top meeting destination.

This June, the Economist’s ‘Global Liveability Index’ ranked Vienna first place once again and confirmed its role as “most livable city in the world”. In addition to criteria such as healthcare, education, infrastructure and culture, Vienna scored particularly well in the areas of safety and stability. All factors equally important to meeting planners and delegates, it is no surprise that Vienna is one of the leading meeting destinations worldwide – as recently confirmed by the ‘2021 ICCA Ranking – Destination Performance Index (DPI)’, which listed the Austrian capital as the number one.
