Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is a landmark in the centre of Athens. Offering a total of 143,000 sqm for events, there are 16 meeting spaces accommodating up to 6,000 delegates. An expansive exhibition hall and foyer areas total 12,000 sqm and the largest meeting room can accommodate close to 2,000.

Since the end of the pandemic in 2021, Megaron has hosted 150,000 delegates at 180 conferences. These include:

A garden area of six acres is open to the public and provides a glorious entrance and surrounding location for outdoor events. Within the Megaron Garden is the Fuga restaurant.

Its central location means major luxury hotels are close by, many within walking distance, as are museums, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. 

With an Athens metro station next to the Centre, it is just 35 minutes on a direct line from Athens International Airport. Lots of public transport is on its doorstep and there is parking for 750.

Flexible large-scale facilities

MAICC offers a range of large meeting spaces. Amongst the main auditoria are the Christos Lambrakis Hall (1,960 theatre-style), the Alexandra Trianti Hall (1,500), the Banqueting Hall (650), the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall (450) and the Nikos Skalkotas Hall (380). These are complemented by a wide range of breakout rooms with capacities ranging from 25 to 180 persons.

Various elegant banqueting spaces are available throughout the building and the Alexandra Trianti Hall, which was added to the Megaron complex in 2004, has a richly decorated ground floor and foyers ideal for exhibitions.

Show relay systems in the main auditoria allow for the transmission of live sessions from one hall to another and wireless internet is available throughout.

Globally-renowned music venue

Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is an integral part of the highly-regarded Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall. A beautiful, large-scale and multifunctional arts centre, it is lauded for its excellent quality.

With a programme of classical music and opera, contemporary compositions, world music, young composers, dance, theatre, cinema, visual arts and, of course, Greek music, it was conceived as a cultural melting pot. Fully equipped to accommodate concerts and other musical events as well as conferences, it meets the high standards and requirements of the world’s greatest orchestras and musical ensembles.

The Christos Lambrakis Hall is ideal for large-scale events. Its unique construction and ultra-modern technical facilities make it the perfect location for orchestral music, chamber music and ballet, as well as opera and theatre productions. The cream of the classical music world, including Greek musicians and major symphony orchestras and their famous conductors, have all graced this hall. It also houses the largest organ in the country. The Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall has outstanding state-of-the-art technical facilities.
