Budapest’s 150th anniversary marks the unification of the three ancient parts of the city: Buda, Pest and Óbuda. The destination has plenty to celebrate, including the rejuvenation and expansion of HUNGEXPO, the most extensive multifunctional exhibition and congress venue in Central Eastern Europe, with the capacity to hold events of up to 15,000 participants.

The main highlight of the development has been the addition of a contemporary congress centre. Equipped with retractable seating that can transform the main venue from an auditorium to a flat space in minutes, its largest room can accommodate up to 2,000 people. Its 72 sqm, high-definition LED wall behind the stage is the largest in Hungary and the facility now boasts state-of-the-art audio-visual technology.

Two new pavilions – 7,250 sqm and 5,700 sqm – have been built adding vast blank canvases for events and exhibitions. With the renovation of three other halls, in total more than 70,000 sqm of indoor space and 36 hectares of outdoor space have been renewed.

"The atmosphere and the beauty of the city make it exceptional.

“We have more than 20,000 hotel rooms ranging from big brands to boutique hotels and many hotels in historic buildings from the grand Budapest era.

“The city is a very safe environment with a reliable economy, and has the right infrastructure in place for events.
