Next stop: Budapest – @HUNGEXPO we think bigger
Great events deserve more than great venues. They deserve destinations that inspire, spaces that adapt and service partners who turn ambitious ideas into reality
Budapest delivers the inspiration. HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre brings the possibilities to life.
Combining impressive scale, flexibility and international expertise, as part of the GL events Group HUNGEXPO stands among Central and Eastern Europe's leading multifunctional event venues, welcoming everything from global congresses and corporate conventions to exhibitions, gala dinners and spectacular large-scale movie productions.
Where flexibility meets experience
With around 75,000 sqm of covered event space, seven multi-functional exhibition halls and a state-of-the-art, 15,000 sqm Congress Centre, HUNGEXPO offers the freedom to create events without compromise.
At its heart, the 2,000-seat plenary hall features an innovative rotating seating system that can transform the space in minutes. Flexible meeting rooms, expansive exhibition areas and integrated event services provide the infrastructure for even the most ambitious event concepts.
One venue. Remarkably different experiences
HUNGEXPO's impressive 2025-2026 event portfolio demonstrates its ability to accommodate remarkably diverse international gatherings.
In 2025, the EuroFinance International Treasury Management Conference brought more than 2,300 delegates to Budapest, connecting corporate treasury leaders and finance professionals from around the world.
Earlier that year, the SIOP Europe Annual Meeting welcomed nearly 1,400 delegates from the international paediatric oncology community, reinforcing HUNGEXPO's credentials as a destination for major association congresses.
This October provided another showcase of versatility. EMNLP 2026, a leading international conference in natural language processing and artificial intelligence research, brought together the global scientific community for six days of knowledge exchange, innovation and networking.
In a completely different format, HYROX Budapest made its Hungarian debut at HUNGEXPO, transforming the largest exhibition hall into an energetic fitness competition arena.
From international finance and medical science to artificial intelligence and competitive sport, these events highlight the venue's capacity to adapt to different industries, audiences and event formats.
Beyond the venue: experience Budapest
A successful international event extends far beyond the meeting rooms.
Budapest's architectural landmarks, renowned gastronomy, thermal baths and vibrant cultural scene create exceptional opportunities for networking, incentives and memorable delegate experiences. With more than 23,000 hotel rooms and an impressive selection of four and five-star properties, the city's hospitality offering continues to evolve. Recent luxury openings include The St. Regis Budapest (2026) and Radisson Collection Hotel Basilica Budapest (2025), while the highly anticipated Mandarin Oriental Gellért (2027) promises to add another iconic address to the capital's hotel landscape.
In August 2026, HUNGEXPO showcased these possibilities through its traditional SZIGET Festival FAM Trip, introducing event planners to the city's leading hotels, distinctive off-site venues and unique cultural experiences.
