PortAventura Business & Events has begun the year with a first quarter marked by intense corporate activity, consolidating its position as one of the leading players in the European MICE segment and further strengthening its presence in the UK market. During the first months of the year, the resort’s convention centre, located near Barcelona, hosted strategic meetings for leading companies from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, tourism, technology, food and sport.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Merck Life Science, Avasa Travel Club, Colt Technology Services, Barry Callebaut and LALIGA are among the companies selecting PortAventura Convention Centre for meetings, conventions and events aimed at driving strategic alignment and strengthening internal team cohesion.

An integrated resort destination

The main differentiating factor of PortAventura Business & Events lies in its integrated model, bringing together a 20,000 sqm convention centre, more than 24 multifunctional meeting rooms, 10 hotels with over 3,000 rooms and two iconic theme parks - PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land - in one destination. This enables the design of fully customised events, combining professional content with immersive experiences and shared activities that generate strong emotional impact.

With more than 20 years of experience and over 3,000 events held since 2009, PortAventura Business & Events has demonstrated strong operational capability in managing large-scale international gatherings. In 2025 alone, the venue hosted more than 250 events and welcomed 50,000 attendees - 61 per cent from international markets.

British market remains key

Prestigious recognition within the British events industry includes PortAventura Convention Centre being recognised at the M&IT Awards as one of the best convention centres in Europe (outside the UK), receiving gold, silver and bronze awards over four consecutive years.

“The British market continues to be strategic for PortAventura Business & Events due to its dynamism, volume and influence within the international MICE sector. Our goal is to continue growing in the UK by offering a distinctive proposition that combines connectivity, operational excellence and unique experiences in a single destination.”

Additional resort benefits

Gastronomy has become a strategic pillar within the resort’s corporate offering. At PortAventura Business & Events, the Food & Beverage area is integrated into the overall design of each event, aligning with the client’s storytelling and objectives. Its proposals combine creativity, personalisation and sustainability, prioritising local and seasonal produce, food waste reduction and responsible suppliers. The resort’s operational capacity allows it to manage thousands of catering services per programme - breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and dinners - exceeding 20,000 services for large-scale corporate events

This is complemented by a range of additional experiences that enhance attendee engagement, including exclusive area openings at PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, team-building activities, incentive programmes and immersive experiences, turning every event into a distinctive and memorable occasion.

The company further strengthens its competitiveness through a firm commitment to innovation and sustainability. B Corp certified, it delivers responsible solutions with measurable impact: 30 per cent of energy consumption comes from on-site renewable sources, it avoids approximately 6,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually and 57 per cent of its suppliers are based locally

Talent development is a key pillar for the organisation, with programmes focused on continuous training, wellbeing and professional growth for staff, ensuring highly qualified teams committed to operational excellence.

Looking ahead, the company maintains a strong growth forecast and already has more than 45 confirmed events, consolidating PortAventura World as one of the most complete and competitive corporate destinations in Europe.
