Transport
Malta International Airport is located between the villages of Luqa and Gudja, 10kms from Valletta. Malta Airport is served by 18 UK and Irish Airports.
Driving conforms to the British model and is on the left-hand side of the road. International and British driving licenses are accepted. Buses are available from just outside the airport and taxi stands are available at the arrival lounge at the Malta International Airport. As Malta is a small island, transfers between hotel and airport will take on average 30 minutes.

Unusual Venues
Beautiful historical venues are scattered around the Islands and they can create a very special backdrop to an event, provide unrivalled mystical elegance and tell a story of bygone centuries. There are also modern, purpose-built venues offering high tech, adaptable spaces with special lighting and where nothing is impossible.
The narrow meandering streets of Malta's ancient towns and villages are crowded with Renaissance churches and Baroque palaces. The landscape is dominated by the medieval walled city of Mdina, the historic three cities of Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa lining one flank of the Grand Harbour looking out at the majestic 16th century capital Valletta. The countryside is dotted with the oldest known structures in the world, making Malta a veritable open-air museum. Village squares, churches, palaces, museums, and a variety of Government owned spaces and gardens can all be made exclusively available for special events on request.
The capital city Valletta offers numerous locations and jaw-dropping backdrops for the most spectacular of events. Its magnificent palazzos and elegant squares will elevate a simple dinner into a dramatic experience set right at the heart of Malta’s rich history. On a balmy evening the gardens at Upper Barrakka on the city’s bastions are the perfect setting for a scintillating dinner al fresco with views of the Grand Harbour. The expansive 275m long promenade on Valletta’s Waterfront, an 18th century trading hub, can be adapted for any event of any size. Close by you can opt for an event at Fort St. Elmo or transfer to the opposite side of the coast to Fort St. Angelo in Birgu.
Gozo is not short of outstanding scenery. The Citadel or Ċittadella has recently been restored and offers an amazing historical backdrop to any event.
With over 300 days of sunshine and mild winter weather, outdoor locations in the Maltese Islands are vast. One can choose from gardens to scenic viewpoints, historical forts, beaches, terraces to old buildings full of character. Transfers
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There are a total of 80 different bus routes that link the different localities in Malta to either major hubs such as Valletta, Mater Dei Hospital and the Airport or to other destinations. Meanwhile 15 different routes operate in Gozo primarily from the central hub of Victoria Bus Station to various localities on the island.
TAXI:
The white taxi service can pick up passengers from anywhere, except bus-stops. Taxi services from the Malta International Airport to all localities in Malta are based on a fixed tariff.
RENTING A CAR:
Renting a car is a good option if you want to get to the farther reaches of the island. All the road signs are in English and driving is on the left. Major international brands and local car hires are located on Malta and Gozo with daily rates of €16 - €28. International and national driving licenses are acceptable.
FERRIES AND WATER TAXIS:
A regular ferry service carries passengers and cars between Malta and Gozo. The trip takes about 20 minutes.
A&S Water Taxis operates a shuttle service from Valletta to Vittoriosa and Senglea using traditional Maltese boats.

Activities
The Maltese Islands offer a wide variety of sports both for amateurs and experts. Outdoor and indoor activities are available for all age groups. They include hiking, golf, abseiling, cycling, boat racing, sailing, swimming and a number of water sports. Outdoor sports are a delight, especially during the winter months when temperatures are just right. And for those few days when the weather is not great, most hotels offer in-house facilities such as tennis, golf and squash courts.
The rugged Maltese terrain is ideal for walking and cycling amongst beautiful panoramas of blues and greens. Fans of the underwater world can immerse themselves in the clear blue seas surrounding Malta, Gozo and Comino. The abundance of reefs, caves and wrecks make Malta a diver’s playground. In fact, the Islands have been repeatedly awarded top positions amongst the best diving destinations around the world. The diving and water sports season is long and stretches across almost all seasons.
Being in a hectic and complex world, it’s a good idea to hop over to a place with a slower pace. The Maltese Islands offer a shelter of wellbeing, and the pace is slower on the Island of Gozo. What better way to escape the noise than taking in some fresh air from the Mediterranean Sea? The view of a calm blue horizon may be enough to blow away modern day stresses, and with the Maltese Islands’ warm climate, activities such as yoga on a beach or Pilates on a sunny roof garden or private villa are very relaxing.
