Miami International Airport, known as the Gateway to the Americas, is centrally located and just 12 miles from the Miami Beach Convention Center. Thanks to
its frequent and excellent connections, Miami is easily accessible from most corners of the world making it ideal for international events.
Meeting & event venues
The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is a GBAC Star-accredited facility and a 1.4 million-sqft LEED Silver–certified convention centre. The venue
offers 500,000 sqft of state-of-the-art exhibit space, a 60,000-sqft grand ballroom, four junior ballrooms and 84 meeting rooms. Set on nine acres of lush green public space on the Miami Beach City Center Campus, it is also ideal for outdoor events.
The MBCC's innovative technology includes livestream, webcast and recording capabilities.
The 800-room Grand Hyatt Miami Beach is in development and will directly connect to the Miami Beach Convention Center via a sky bridge and offer its own meeting space and a pool deck.
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has an excellent knowledge of the destination's event suppliers and can provide assistance and
advice. The team can help connect planners to organise specialised programming, entertainment, transportation, tours, activities, off-site venues, restaurants, team building, promotional gifts and more.
What's new in hotels
The hotel scene in Greater Miami & Miami Beach is always growing and evolving. From high-tech to resort-style, here's a look at some of the newest hotels and recently renovated properties:
Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, the grande dame of Coconut Grove,
is within walking distance of the area's many shops, restaurants and bayfront parks. Recently transformed with lush gardens, fountains and artwork from internationally acclaimed artists, it has a rooftop pool, where Sipsip bar offers Bahamas-inspired
food and drinks, and Sonoran-style food at the Mayfair Grill. With 12 flexible event spaces, it can accommodate up to 300.
The new Loews Coral Gables Hotel is a stylish, modern property with 242 guestrooms with de luxe amenities. The hotel boasts a large ballroom as
well as a ninth-floor event deck with views of downtown Coral Gables.
Set in the work-live-play Brickell neighbourhood, the new citizenM Miami Brickell is
packed with personality, from its rooftop pool offering sweeping views of Downtown Miami to communal spaces including a stylish living room. Guests are greeted by vibrant murals by Miami artist Jen Stark and commissioned works by various artists throughout
the hotel. Rooms feature extra-large king-size beds and lots of high-tech gadgets. Soon to open is the hotel brand's second Brickell location, citizenM Miami World Center,
with 351 app-controlled bedrooms.
Also in Brickell is Tru By Hilton West Brickell, offering a youthful energy in common areas packed with games.
For architectural charm and history, boutique gem Esme Hotel on Española Way in South Beach offers
145 uniquely decorated guest rooms and suites, a rooftop pool and lounge, and dining hotspots including Tropezon, a gin and tapas bar. It also has private
event space.
For a trendy hostel with a Latin vibe, take a look at Viajero Miami. Another special property is the newly rebranded Uma House by Yurbban, known for its two towers, each with a distinct style, plus outdoor spaces perfect for relaxing and networking.
Wynwood, Miami's hub of street art and Instagram-worthy murals, now has its first hotel, and it's packed with resort-style amenities. Paying homage to the area's creative surroundings,
Arlo Hotel Wynwood has 250-plus permanent works sprinkled around the property, from its mural-rich exteriors to its lobby, guest rooms and yoga
deck. Dine at the new MaryGold's restaurant, helmed by Brad Kilgore, one of Miami's top chefs.

Getting active & outdoors
Greater Miami offers a huge variety of attractions that encourage groups and visitors to enjoy the great outdoors. A green and easy way to get around is via the Citi Bike sharing program.
Available by the hour, nearly 2,000 beach cruisers are located at hundreds of solar-powered DecoStations in Miami Beach, Downtown Miami and other areas. Another fun way for visitors to get out and about on Miami's most popular strips is with Freebee, a complimentary, electric-vehicle ride service driven by personable and informative ‘brand embassadors'.
