IBTM World has revealed full details of its knowledge programme, including details of its three keynote speakers.
Focusing on the event’s
core theme, culture creation, the refreshed programme will include sessions on five targeted tracks: connections,
business, careers, brands and experiences.
Anick Beaulieu, VP of growth
and partnerships at event services company C2 and Igor Beuker, futurist and activist
will deliver the first keynote session and discuss how business entertainment
can shape culture, using the C2 Montréal event as a case study.
In his keynote, Gareth
Kelly, head of strategic events EMEA at Salesforce will explore how Salesforce
uses its events to bring better business results and create meaningful cultural
experiences for businesses.
On day three, Igor Beuker, known for his foresight on the trends
and technologies impacting business, economy and society, will take to the stage
again to discuss what events will look like in 2030.
Despoina
Zachariadou, lead UX designer of creative technology VR/AR at Jack Morton
Worldwide will consider how the Metaverse is
shaping communication, behaviours and communities and what implications it may
have for the future of events.
IBTM World event
director, David Thompson said: “This is content that delivers tangible,
take-home value, and that will inspire people to think outside the box and help
them create their own incredible events.”
A full programme of sessions will take place on the
IBTM Accelerate stage, which returns this year to help answer questions on the
future of the events industry.
The annual IBTM World
Trends Watch report, presented by Alistair Turner, managing director
of Eight PR, will explore how current world events are shaping culture, influencing both the
events we create and the people that attend them. A preview of the 2023 Trends Report is

IBTM World will take place at Fira Barcelona between
30 November and 1
December 2022.
