On a scale of 1 to 5 (with five being ‘extremely concerned’), they now have a weighted average of 4.2 – higher than at any other point in the last six months.

Optimism levels have rebounded somewhat – although the gains seen in EMEA pale against the sunny outlook in APAC, where 78 per cent are feeling ‘more optimistic’. Increasingly planners are having to think in wider, logistical terms.
With countries around the world clamping down on immigration and tightening visa applications, ‘border issues’ is flagged as a serious concern for around one in three planners.
These are just some of the intriguing findings from the current cycle of the Northstar/Cvent industry Pulse survey for the EMEA region.
This cycle is comprised of 161 responses from planners of all types and is compared to similar data we have collected from North America and Asia Pacific.
