Brands at Work has acquired boutique creative agency Chorus in a move designed to strengthen its capabilities across experiential marketing and creative communications.

The deal brings together Brands at Work’s internal, B2B and B2C engagement expertise with Chorus’ consumer-focused brand activation and design work.

Clients across the combined group include Deloitte, Novartis and BT on the Brands at Work side, alongside Johnnie Walker, Montblanc and The Macallan for Chorus.

The agencies said the acquisition would allow them to offer more integrated campaigns spanning employee engagement, B2B communications and consumer activations.

Brands at Work co-founder Karen Kadin said: “We’re bringing these agencies together because they close the gaps for brand engagement. Brands at Work is known for sharp strategy, bold internal and B2B strategic storytelling campaigns and creative content-led experiences that engage audiences from the inside out.

“Chorus brings a different kind of creative energy. They know how to take an idea and make people feel it. That complements what we do perfectly and creates a more complete and connected offer for clients - internationally and at scale.”

Chorus will continue to operate under its existing name and leadership structure, with founder and managing director Cassidy Knowles remaining in post.

Knowles said: “We’ve always focused on creating work that people connect with emotionally. Joining Brands at Work Group allows us to build on that, combining strong strategic storytelling with bold creative and a broader global platform.”

The Chorus team will relocate to Brands at Work’s London Bridge office in August.

The acquisition follows the launch of Brands at Work’s New York office two years ago, as the group continues to expand its international presence. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
