Annette Gregg is stepping down as CEO of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) next month.
Gregg will leave SITE and SITE Foundation on Thursday 1 October, bringing an end to a four-year tenure during which the association says it achieved record membership, event attendance and financial growth.
According to an announcement sent to SITE members on Friday 4 September, Gregg will move to the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), where she will take up the role of CEO.
SITE said Gregg's tenure had seen the association reach the largest membership in its 53-year history, alongside record attendance at its events and the highest gross and net revenue levels in its history. It also said its marketing reach had increased fivefold during her time at the organisation.
Gregg also oversaw an expansion of SITE's international activity, with new member Communities, chapter affiliates and task forces established across LATAM and Europe, alongside increased activity in key international markets.
The association's education and certification offering was also expanded. The Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) qualification was made available online and on demand in English and Spanish, while new virtual, on-demand Specialty Certifications were introduced to provide targeted continuing education for incentive travel professionals.
SITE also highlighted the launch of its C-Suite Agency Summit, new consulting services and an expanded portfolio of industry partnerships and revenue-generating programmes during Gregg's tenure.
“Annette has led SITE through a period of significant growth, and the association is stronger for it,” said Hasan Dinç, president of SITE.
“On behalf of the International Board of Directors, I want to thank her for her commitment to our members, our chapters and our global community, and to wish her every success in what comes next. The Board’s focus now turns to continuity for our members and chapters, and to appointing a leader who will build on what has been achieved.”
Gregg said leading SITE had been “one of the great privileges” of her career.
“Leading SITE these last four years has been one of the great privileges of my career, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together,” she said.
“We’ve grown our global reach, reaching record revenue and membership, while trying new concepts and evolving our relevance to our growing global community. Most importantly, we’ve continued to prove the incredible power of incentive travel to transform people, businesses and communities.”
Gregg added that SITE's members, chapter leaders, volunteers, partners and staff were what she would “treasure most” from her time with the association.
The SITE International Board of Directors is overseeing the leadership transition. The association said its existing team would continue to manage day-to-day operations, with further details on interim leadership and the search for Gregg's successor to be announced in due course.
