The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has appointed two
new members to the Scotland Chapter leadership team.
VisitScotland Business Events’ business development manager,
Theresa Steven and corporate and incentive assistant manager, Heather McNee,
have been appointed president elect 2025 and co-communications director,
respectively, of SITE’s Scotland Chapter.
Founded in 1973, SITE is an association representing 2,500 incentive travel professionals and 90 countries. SITE offers networking
opportunities, online resources, education, certification, and advocacy to its
members. It also supports young professionals through its Young Leaders programme and holds an annual
conference.
As part of her role as president elect 2025 for SITE
Scotland, Steven will shadow current president of SITE Scotland, Elizabeth Del
Giacco, senior business development manager at Brook Green and support her in
creating the Chapter’s upcoming annual strategic plan and budget.
Steven will also participate in monthly Chapter Leader
conference calls with SITE leadership globally, co-host members meetings and
lead the chapter's 2024 partnership with the homeless charity Cyrenians in
organising fundraising events and initiatives amongst members.
McNee will manage all chapter communications, maintain an
active presence on social media platforms to engage and promote membership
activities as well as overseeing the maintenance and management of various
communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
