The Hospitality Professionals Association (HOSPA) has endorsed the Rob Chamberlain Marketing Academy, recognising the CPD-accredited programme as an official HOSPA Learning Partner for the next two years.
The endorsement follows an independent review of the online training programme, which was developed specifically for hospitality and meetings and events professionals to strengthen marketing skills across the sector.
Founded by hospitality marketing consultant Rob Chamberlain, the Academy aims to address what he describes as a gap in professional development, arguing that while the industry has long invested in operational, sales and leadership training, marketing has often been expected to be learned on the job.
The programme covers the full marketing process, including market research, strategy, segmentation, positioning and the marketing mix, and is designed to be completed alongside full-time employment. Learners receive 28 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points on completion.
Janel Clark, head of professional development at HOSPA, said: "This endorsement reflects HOSPA's commitment to supporting high-quality professional development across the hospitality sector, including in marketing.
"We were particularly impressed by the strength and structure of the Rob Chamberlain Marketing Academy, and by how clearly it addresses a key area of the industry which is ever evolving and often misunderstood."
Chamberlain added: "My ambition has always been simple: to make proper marketing training more accessible to hospitality professionals.
"It isn't about teaching people how to create campaigns. It's about helping businesses build stronger marketing capability. When everyone is working from fundamental principles, marketing becomes more consistent, more commercially focused and ultimately more effective."
The Academy is open to both individual learners and organisations looking to provide structured marketing training across their teams.
