Meeting Needs is putting out a final call for sponsorship ahead of the Royal Parks Half Marathon this weekend.

A 38-strong Meeting Needs team is getting ready to take part in the 13.1-mile route through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens – on Sunday 12 October. The event is one of Meeting Needs' biggest fundraising events of the year.

Meeting Needs chair Lene Corgan said: “We’ve got 38 runners this year, we’re sending out a huge good luck message to them all. It’s amazing to see people commit their time and energy.

“We’re hoping for a last fundraising push. Everyone’s working hard - every runner commits to raising at least £400. Your brave friends who are taking part in the run need your sponsorship now!

“Sponsorship of your colleagues or friends will help us reach our objective - to generate funds to help those less fortunate. People give what they can, and it all adds up. Many thanks for your support.”
