The audition evening for this year’s Events R Talented competition will
take place at Tramp Private Members Club in London on Thursday 8 June 2023.
Events R Talented is a charity fundraising initiative that
encourages event professionals with any type of talent to get involved.
To date, Events R Talented has raised £21,500 for various
charities and showcased the musical talents of several of event professionals.
Last year, event planner and agency owner, Jo Potkin, won
the contest with her flute-playing skills. She performed to an audience of hundreds
at the M&IT Awards in September 2022 and has since gone on to play for a
range of audiences.
This year, Events R Talented have chosen to raise money for
SEED, an eating disorder support services organisation run by Emmerdale actor
Gemma Oaten. SEED is a charity supporting people suffering from a
range of eating disorders. Events R Talented has set a goal of raising £5,000
for SEED.
Those wishing to enter the contest and those wanting to
attend the auditions as a spectator will need to pay a £5 entry fee which will
be donated to SEED.
The audition event will also include several professional
performances, plenty of raffle prizes and a live auction for a chance to win
some impressive lots.
