Brand experience agency Nteractive has launched ‘Better
Choices’ – a programme to help brands create sustainable live experiences by
aligning their event activations with their corporate sustainability goals.
Better Choices offers brands a framework to
understand and improve their sustainability performance and allows them to set
a baseline for their current event emissions, with recommendations on how
to reduce them. The agency has set a target to reduce emissions by 50 per cent
on an event-by-event basis, using the TRACE platform developed by isla.
Nteractive owner and co-founder, Neil Evans, said: “We have
always been passionate about sustainability, and this year we’ve dramatically
stepped up our efforts. Clients are often unsure where to start; sustainability
was often seen as a box to be ticked, with concerns about added costs or
perceived limitations. It’s now a fundamental aspect of delivering live
experiences that make a positive impact and leave a successful legacy.
“The
Better Choices programme sets out clear, easy-to-understand measures that
clients can take, alongside easily digestible impact reports that provide a
benchmark of current activity and recommendations for improvement. We believe
that sustainability presents an opportunity for our industry to improve live
experiences. Better Choices creates better experiences, which in turn deliver
better results for all stakeholders, whilst being far better for the planet.”
Since the start of the year, the agency has been working with Ben
Quarrell (formerly at isla as co-founder), as an in-house consultant, embedding
sustainability planning into event processes and ensuring that all staff have
received bespoke sustainability training.
Quarrell said: “From day one, I was really impressed by the passion for
sustainability of everyone at Nteractive, and their commitment to creating more
sustainable live experiences for clients. This passion, combined with the
team’s understanding of the challenges facing clients in terms of event impact
and sustainability commitments, drives Better Choices – pragmatic, actionable
and measurable solutions.”
