Sustainability Simplified has launched a new free guide with a 10-step framework to becoming a leader in sustainable events.

Written for event agencies, brands, in-house teams and event service businesses, it aims to invigorate action and “unstick” companies wanting to demonstrate their commitment to the climate.

Co-founder Ben Quarrell said: “Most people I speak to have started to do ‘something’ but then get stuck and go round in circles when trying to work out how to move forward, how to actually turn ambitions and words on pages into changes that make an impact, and work for their business”.

The guide details what is needed at every stage of the sustainability journey, from how to set your policy and the recommended resources to allocate, right through to how to create a pragmatic Net-Zero roadmap that phases in tangible changes for your team and supply chain. The guide is aimed at business owners and managers looking for clear actionable next steps without the jargon.

Live Union senior production manager Emily Gibson said: “We have been working with Sustainability Simplified for the last few months and they have really helped us clarify our priorities, offering practical and realistic advice. We have made real progress in accurately measuring and reducing the carbon footprint of our events. This guide is a great resource and will help many event businesses to do the same”.

Sustainability Simplified is a consultancy for the events and media industries and has worked with Nteractive, Westfield Rise, Set Creative, Spiro, Goose Live Events, and Ecoform, among others.

The free guide can be downloaded here.
