The QEII Centre has gathered 900 coats for the winter volunteering campaign Wrap
Up London, a huge increase on last year’s collection of 100 coats.
During November the centre welcomed contributions
of unwanted coats from event organisers, delegates, employees, local businesses
and members of the public. These donations are set to be distributed by the charity
HandsOn London to those in need, such as the homeless, elderly and refugees.
This is the seventh consecutive year that the Westminster based
venue has supported the charity campaign. One of the largest winter
volunteering drives in the capital, Wrap Up London collects pre-loved coats
from over 40 drop off locations across the city and Greater London and distributes
them to more than 75 front line charities.
