DRPG announced as Clarion Awards headline sponsor

Creative communications group DRPG has been confirmed as the headline sponsor at this year’s Clarion Awards, organised by EVCOM.

The annual Clarion awards celebrate the best cause-driven work in the live events, experiential and video sectors. All award entries must have shown impact within their work to be considered.

CEO of DRPG, Dale Parmenter said the Clarion Awards echo DRPG’s business values. “We’re proud to be aligned to this awards programme, and as an EVCOM member, because the core message of ‘giving something back’ mirrors our own existing business values. For DRPG, 2022 is the year of the triple bottom line: people, planet and profit,” said Parmenter.

“The Clarion awards provide us with a poignant reminder and celebration of all the great projects and initiatives achieved in the tumultuous period that our events and creative industries have been through.”

DRPG has implemented multiple sustainability practices over the years. The group signed up to the pledge for Net-Zero Events by 2050 during COP-26 in 2021, as well as announcing a personal goal of becoming a net-zero business by 2025.

Parmenter added, “As an agency who are well accredited when it comes to supporting local communities, internal teams and aligning our output towards the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Goals, ISO14001 & 20211, we are also working towards B-Corp and waiting to hear if we have achieved the Queen's Award for sustainable growth. We understand our crucial responsibility in guiding corporate clients in this direction too.

“There is a great buzz around the events industry in particular right now, around sustainability and plans to lower the carbon footprint from the experiences we create. There is no choice for our clients to create anything other than an environmentally conscious event with DRPG today. With the right guidance from us, as agencies, we hope our best practice can educate corporate sectors to deliver on their ESG goals not only in their event delivery but through internal communications.”
