The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has published the 2025
edition of its industry-standard eGuide, featuring updates to 13 existing
sections and the introduction of a new chapter on ‘Dangerous Exhibits’.
A second release in December will expand the guide further
with new sections on ‘Safeguarding and Child Protection’ and ‘Medical
Provision’.
Alden Arnold, head of commercial and projects, AEV, said, “An
enormous amount of work goes into the maintenance of the eGuide so that members
across all aspects of the event industry can create a safe space for colleagues
and visitors.”
This year, in addition to the AEV eGuide working group, the
association, with its sister associations the, Association of Event Organisers
(AEO) and Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), formed a cross
association working group - the ‘eGuide User’ – to find and communicate ‘common
ground’ regarding the application of regulations across UK venues.
Arnold added, “It is incredible working with so many
committed and skilled individuals and organisations and being part of the
collaboration that pulls together this vital industry resource. Thank you to
all involved for their continual input.”
The 2025 eGuide is now available via the AEV website,
offering a version with highlighted changes and the option to download five
sections independently for added convenience.
