The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced Rob May,
executive chairman of ramsac and a leading voice on AI, cybersecurity and business
leadership, as keynote speaker at its 2025 conference.
The AEV annual conference will return to Excel London on
Friday 14 November under the theme ‘Accelerate. Shaping the future of event
venues’.
May, who specialises in demystifying emerging
technologies and help businesses harness innovation safely and effectively,
will deliver the opening session of the conference, now in its ninth year.
Other sessions will cover a range of topics pertinent to
event professionals such as the impact of Protect Duty, generational workforce
dynamics and viewing venues through a retail lens.
Rachel Park, CEO, AEV, said: "Rob is known for his
straightforward delivery and fast paced and practical sessions, which perfectly
complements the theme of this year’s conference.
“Our attendees will be challenged to face the uncomfortable
truths about AI and how to operate through it – no sugar coating. Rob will set
the tone for the conference and we will continue with that energy throughout
the day.”
Tickets are available now for the conference with
an early bird rate available until Friday 17 October 2025. Visit https://www.aevconference.org.uk
