The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has revealed ‘20:20
vision. Experience. Educate. Engage.’ as the theme for its annual conference at ICC
Birmingham on 14 November 2024.
Rachel Parker AEV director said, "20:20 implies exact
vision and the programme aims to guide our delegates in readying themselves for
the present and the future through reviewing our past experiences, learning
from them and taking action, ie ‘Experience. Educate. Engage.’ The programme
will be relevant to event industry professionals.”
The 2024 conference will be the eighth for AEV in addition
to the association’s 20th birthday. The event will include sessions on AI,
security, sustainability and technology and the popular political landscape
update will also return.
The full programme will be revealed in September.
Parker added, “We are particularly excited for our conference
this year and are also delighted to announce Shonali Devereaux, workshop
facilitator, emcee and speaker with atex the attendee experience company, will
return to host the conference. Furthermore, as 2024 marks our 20th birthday, we
will be celebrating with a party following the conference.”
Booking opens in September for the AEV annual conference
with an early bird offer available until 18 October 2024. Tickets include entry
to the birthday celebrations at The Jam House, St Paul’s Square, Birmingham
where delegates can enjoy food, drink, entertainment and live music with
