CHS has announced welfare as the theme for its Leeds 2025 show.

Since its launch 14 years ago, organisers have aimed to make CHS Leeds about providing both productive and empathetic environments for business - and the 2025 theme of welfare is intended to go back to these core values.

The education programme at CHS Leeds 2025 is set to reflect key feedback from event planners on security and consent within the industry, with content that looks at delegate welfare, care for event planners, and security for everyone.

The theme begins a new cycle for the CHS team, which has been focused on industry growth since its return post-pandemic. Now, with meetings and events businesses flourishing and real momentum continuing across the market, the importance of welfare has once again become one of the primary concerns among event planners.

Emma King, CEO and founder of CHS, said: “Now we turn to CHS Leeds 2025, and a really different tone for the industry. Welfare, from wellbeing and security, to consent and respect. These are themes that speak to our own values, but also a new style of event, and event organiser, that is more purpose driven than at any other time in our history. It’s going to be an interesting and important discussion.”

The announcement follows last month's Birmingham edition of CHS, which saw buyers' and exhibitors' pre-arranged meetings up 16 per cent on last year.

King said: “It’s been one of our core values of being ‘of service’ to our community, and we’re delighted to have played our part, focusing on growth, since 2021. This of course has culminated in another successful show in Birmingham, and I couldn’t be more thankful to both our exhibitors and our buyers for bringing such energy into the event.”

CHS Leeds will take place at Royal Armouries, Leeds, on Tuesday 25 March 2025.
