IBTM World is expanding its event tech and services offering for this year's show, with a larger technology showcase, a new AI demonstration programme and the return of its startup initiative, IBTM Ignite.
The exhibition, which takes place at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from 17-19 November, will feature an expanded Event Technology & Services Zone, bringing together more than 100 startups, over 15 investors and a range of established technology providers.
The zone will include event management platforms, matchmaking solutions, attendee engagement tools, analytics platforms, hybrid event technology and immersive experience providers, giving planners the opportunity to compare solutions and watch live demonstrations.
Major exhibitors include EventsAir, vFairs, ACS Audiovisual Solutions and Swoogo.
New for 2026 is AI for Events - Demo Day LIVE, taking place on Thursday 19 November in partnership with consulting and media company Boldpush.
Ten companies - Advcy, CueForge, Event Flow App, Event Labs, Exhibitly, ExpoBooth, Highbar, Magipic, Memnto Photo and uchop - will demonstrate AI-powered solutions covering networking, attendee engagement, operational efficiency and event experiences.
The programme will feature an AI demonstration area, lightning demo sessions and content on the Future Stage focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence in business events.
Claudia Hall, show director of IBTM World, said: "Event professionals are being asked to achieve more, from creating stronger attendee connections to proving event impact and delivering more personalised experiences.
"Technology has an important role to play yet knowing where to start and understanding what solutions can genuinely make a difference is often the biggest challenge. Our aim is to bring together the people, partnerships and practical innovation helping event professionals create stronger events and deliver greater commercial value."
The event will also see the return of IBTM Ignite following its launch last year.
The startup programme connects emerging event technology businesses with hosted buyers and investors through a combination of live pitching sessions, exhibition space and networking opportunities.
According to organisers, more than 80 startups took part in the inaugural programme, with 35 selected to participate in the dedicated showcase. More than 15 investors are expected to attend this year's edition, offering advice and exploring potential investment opportunities.
