The 35th annual M&IT
Awards takes place this week – and there’s still time to grab tickets to the sector’s biggest night
of the year.
Taking place at Battersea Evolution in London on Friday 9
September, the M&IT Awards brings together all corners of the business events
industry to reward and celebrate excellence.
Hundreds of meeting and event professionals from all over the
world will recognise well over 100 finalists and announce the winners across 19
key industry categories in the event industry’s biggest and most prestigious
recognition programme.
“The M&IT Awards is the biggest night of the year for our
sector – and this year’s promises to be one of the best yet,” said M&IT editor
Paul Harvey. “It really is the Oscars of the industry, the night when eventprofs
come together to celebrate outstanding achievements, endeavour and hard work from across
the industry.
“We’ve got a fantastic host and a brilliant night of partying,
networking, recognition and celebrating lined up. There’s still time
to be involved, so dust off your eveningwear and be part of this glittering,
glamorous occasion – don’t miss out!
Hosted this year by TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing
winner Ore Oduba, the evening kicks off with a champagne reception, followed by
a three-course dinner and entertainment before starting with the main awards
ceremony.
Among the awards are three brand new for 2022; Best
Incentive Provider, Best Diversity and Inclusion Award, and Best Sustainable
Initiative. Returning this year are Best Hotel Brand, Best Destination
Management Company, and Best Airline, while long-standing awards such as Best
UK Convention Bureau, Best Intermediary Agency and M&IT Personality of the Year will
once again feature.
“As well as celebrating excellence, the M&IT Awards also
offers the chance to network with industry leaders and celebrity guests while raising
funds for the meetings industry’s own charity, Meeting Needs,” added Harvey. “The
evening wraps up with the after-party, featuring a live band that you can dance
the night away to, all the while networking and celebrating with your friends
