The Meetings
Industry Association (MIA) is preparing to celebrate the sector’s finest
talent at the 2025 miaList awards.
The awards shine a spotlight on those who are raising the
bar for their organisations and the business meeting and events sector. With
the industry’s top talent vying for a place on the roll of honour.
This year, nominations are open across a record 15
categories - the most in miaList history - in recognition of the breadth of
excellence across the business meeting and events sector. Two new categories
have been introduced for 2025: Executive Leader of the Year and Innovative
Chef of the Year, both of which will be presented at an awards ceremony at
The Belfry Hotel & Resort on Thursday 6 November.
The miaList remains free to enter with nominations welcome
from anyone working within, or associated with, the UK’s business meetings and
events sector, with the exception of the individual titles which are exclusive
to MIA members.
Nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges spanning
all reaches of the sector. For all team and initiative awards, there will also
be an additional judging stage in which those shortlisted by the panel will be
subject to a weighted public vote.
Shonali Devereaux, chief executive of the MIA, said: “The
miaList is a well-established and much-anticipated celebration of excellence
within our sector, and I’m excited to lead the process as CEO for the first
time. It’s a powerful reminder of the incredible talent, innovation and
resilience across our sector, and I’m looking forward to celebrating those who
continue to inspire and drive us forward.”
The awards will be presented after the trade association’s
MIA conference. Nominations will close at 23:59 on 13 June,
and the shortlist will be announced on 24 July. To find out more about the
