Sustainability consultancy,
From Now, launches the Sustainable Events Community to support the events industry.
Sustainability
Consultancy, From Now, that partners with brands including LinkedIn, Google and Rapid7, has launched the Sustainable
Events Community. The consultancy is 'on a
mission to make the events industry more sustainable'.
Co-founder
Saskya Liney explained that the typical event attendee produces 1.89kg of waste per
day, 85 per cent of which can be landfill, depending on where and what type of event it
is.
"A report by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and
Cvent indicates that although many people cite sustainability as a priority,
our industry still isn’t taking solid action," added Liney. "Many of us want to do more but
may not know how to - and small differences can make a big impact. With that in
mind, we’ve launched The Sustainable Events Community. A platform where you can
get access to all the latest venues, suppliers, news, tips and sustainability
insights shaping the future of events."
The
Sustainable Events Community is a free-to-join new hub for all event professionals where they can:
