The Business of Events has announced the line up of politicians, policymakers and leading industry figures for its Global Policy Forum, this year sponsored by RX Global.
Speakers and contributors include Shaun Davies MP, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events; Dame Caroline Dinenage MP, chair of the Culture, Media and Sport select committee; and columnist and politician Lord Daniel Finkelstein OBE who will be giving delegates his view on the current political and economic landscape.
News anchor, reporter and broadcaster Trish Lynch will moderate the forum, which will feature Senthil Gopinath, chief executive of ICCA, discussing the opportunity that business events bring to the UK economy and Neil Brownlee, newly elected chair of PCMA and head of business events at VisitScotland, on a policy-focused approach to business events.
RX Global UK managing director Kerry Prince will explore the opportunities for the UK exhibition and trade show sector while some of the UK’s leading business events destinations will contribute to a session, moderated by VisitBritain/Meet England’s Paul Black, on the changing role of convention bureaux.
Meanwhile, Mickael Benaim, head of research at SFA Connect, will highlight how destinations are adapting to the changing economic and political landscape before the closing keynote address is delivered by Dame Caroline Dinenage.

The Global Policy Forum, which takes place at IET London: Savoy Place on Tuesday 1 April 2025, is an invitation-only event, but delegates can register their interest to attend here.
