The Power of Events is exploring the Trump effect through a
survey into perceived changes in US-based customer behaviour in the events
industry.
The project, in collaboration with Excel London, is currently
running via the Event Industry Insights App.
The research was prompted by recent observations at venues across the
UK, where emerging trends suggest that shifts in the US economy and political
landscape are significantly affecting how US clients engage with and commission
international events.
Claire Drakeley, strategic lead – research, insights and policy
at The Power of Events, said: “This pulse check study is about exploring if changes in US client behaviour are specific to particular venues or if it’s a broader trend. Whatever we find in the analysis will give an indication of the impact of any changes and potential routes to navigate that evolving economic terrain.
"The Event Industry Insights App is designed for exactly this purpose, to get the industry-wide view on issues as they arise and to understand changes in and on the industry, so we can respond strategically, collectively and with impact.”
The study aims to explore the dynamics of the new behaviour,
providing insights to inform future business development, marketing, and
partnership strategies tailored to the US market.
The survey is running via the Event Industry Insights App
until Monday 3 August, click here for details on how to take part. The findings of the research will be freely available in mid-August via the app and via the Power of Events research archive online.
