The Power of Events has confirmed the expansion of its UK Schools Engagement Programme into the Bath and Bristol region, alongside plans for a London launch event this autumn.

The not-for-profit organisation, founded in 2023 to champion greater understanding and recognition of the UK events industry, has already connected more than 106,000 young people with the sector in its first academic year. That outreach was delivered through more than 350 school visits across the East of England, Birmingham, the South Coast and Hertfordshire.

The Bath and Bristol expansion will see ambassadors visit schools from later this year, with the goal of reaching more than 10,000 students in the region within 12 months. Local sponsors backing the programme include Bray Leino Events, Live Insurance & Crew Cover, MUTI Live, REM Events, SLX, Stage Electrics and The Event Safety Shop.

Industry professionals are being invited to volunteer as ambassadors via the programme’s dedicated portal, committing as little as an hour to share insights and career pathways into the events world.

Bryan Raven, strategic advisor to The Power of Events, said “Having recently moved to the area I have a vested interest in this next phase. The launch of the Bath & Bristol region marks a continuous expansion in one of our core projects. With the incredible support of our ambassadors and sponsors, we look forward to making a lasting impact across this vital creative hub in the West Country.”

Looking ahead, the organisation has confirmed further roll-outs in Manchester/Liverpool/Cheshire, Edinburgh and London, with an ambition to engage more than 250,000 young people by the end of 2026.

To mark the start of the London programme, The Power of Events will host an exclusive launch reception on Wednesday 1 October at the Amex Lounge in The O2. The event will introduce the Schools Engagement Programme to industry professionals, highlight opportunities to volunteer as schools ambassadors, and offer networking with programme sponsors and partners.
