A record number of event professionals will represent event industry charity Meeting Needs in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 9.
With two weeks remaining until the final registration day, 45 participants have signed up to walk or run the course that takes in four of the best of London´s parks, starting and finishing in Hyde Park.
The event will attract around 12,000 participants in total and for Meeting Needs supporters, will end with a networking lunch event. Only five places remain for those who wish to join the Meeting Needs fund-raiser.
Event industry professionals participating include those from BCD M&E, HeadBox, asembl, Mabrouka Events, Conference Care, Ernst Young, Accor, Sandals Resorts, JetBlue Airways, Copenhagen Convention Bureau, NorthStar UK, XSEM, CrowdComms, Johanna Potkin Consultancy, Evolution International, The Meetings Space, Off Limits Event Professionals, Firefly Merchandise, Visit Malta and Hotel Republic.
Meeting Needs chair Chris Peacock said: “We are delighted that so many have signed up to raise funds for our charity. It´s a great day out and followed by a super social Sunday lunch event for our event industry participants. Now we are hoping to raise a record-breaking amount of money!”
