Participants can now sign-up to Hire Space's EventLAB 2020 event which will be held online this year on the virtual platform, Cadence.

The event will take place on Wednesday 28 October and Wednesday 11 November and promises to address key event industry challenges and opportunities, fresh ideas and new innovations as the industry begins to emerge from the pandemic.

More than 40 speakers from a multitude of industries and backgrounds are confirmed for the event. They include Amrita Devaiah, head of strategic communication & external affairs at the Cabinet Office, Daniel Smith, head of event operations at Tobacco Dock London and Jason Charles, event & broadcast manager at Rightmove.

The sessions will cover topics including remote leadership for creative teams, how to be more inclusive when hiring and developing talent and creative problem solving for more sustainable events.

Felicity Cator, head of EventLAB, said: “As the events sector is under the microscope in ways like never before, we have the opportunity to reassess what’s really important to our suppliers and clients, and to double down on the key skills and opportunities for event professionals as a new future emerges. As ever, we expect lively discussion and lots of new ideas.”

Delegates can also sign up for CPD-certified professional development workshops, as well as main stage content and fireside discussions.

Exhibitors at the event include Diversity Ally, Vue Cinemas, Business Design Centre, isla, Big Top by Hire Space and 1 Wimpole Street, who will have the opportunity to interact with delegates and discuss their products.

Hire Space also offers a wealth of information on topical issues on its website, including ‘Ways to reach new audiences with hybrid events’ and ‘Common mistakes businesses make with diversity and inclusion and how to avoid them.’

Attendees can register to attend here and view the full programme here.
