The Meeting Industry Association has launched its insights
survey as part of its ongoing work to champion business meetings and events.
The survey results will provide an indication of the sector’s
key challenges and opportunities which will be communicated to government.
Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive of the Meetings Industry
Association (mia), said: “Once again we’re calling on the business meetings and
events community to help us to provide our regular insight to government, which
helps inform its understanding of the sector and guide its strategy of support.
“In addition to our regular communications with government,
we are currently compiling this quarter’s mia Insights report. Following
specific data requests, it will examine the opportunities and challenges in the
following areas including Government Support, Investments, Booking Enquiries
and Lead Times, Staffing and Recruitment as well as Martyn’s Law preparations
and Sustainability.
“As we are keen that the findings provide a true reflection
of what is happening right now in the business meetings and events sector, we
would be extremely grateful if as many organisations as possible could spend a
few minutes completing the survey.
“Once compiled, the results will be made available for all
to download from our website.”
The survey delves into six key topics:
• Government Support
• Investments
• Booking
Enquiries and Lead Times
• Staffing and Recruitment
• Martyn’s Law
• Sustainability
