Sustainability body isla has announced the launch of its inaugural Made Possible Festival, taking place on Tuesday 6 May at London’s Barbican Centre.
The event promises a day of expert-led sessions, including presentations, panels, workshops, and roundtables dedicated to helping event and sustainability professionals tackle sustainability head-on.
Designed for all levels of expertise, Made Possible Festival will address key topics including new regulations, data-driven action, and honest reflections on the event industry’s environmental impact. Speakers and thought leaders will share fresh insights on how businesses can make meaningful impact and remain competitive in a rapidly changing market.
CEO and co-founder at isla, Anna Abdelnoor, said: “Made Possible Festival is a dive into how the industry really feels about sustainability: what’s working, what isn’t, and what comes next. It’s about moving past the usual talking points and bringing the right people together to confront challenges, share solutions, and help each other raise the bar.”
Sessions will include:
- Temperature Check: 2023 v 2025: A preview of the soon-to-be published European Temperature Check Report, assessing whether event sustainability efforts are hitting the mark or missing the bigger picture.
- Leaders-only Roundtable: Hosted by isla founder and CEO, Anna Abdelnoor, this frank discussion offers a space for decision-makers to share challenges, examine progress, and identify critical next steps for the industry.
- Supply chain - who’s responsibility is it anyway? This interactive roundtable brings organisers and suppliers together for an open exchange of perspectives, exploring the challenges, gaps, and opportunities in supply chain accountability.
The Barbican Centre’s event spaces will host each session, giving attendees the chance to experience its Conservatory, where a networking lunch in partnership with Searcy’s will be held on the terrace, and conference facilities first hand. More speakers and sessions are due to be announced soon.
Admission is free for isla Members and TRACE users. For those who are not yet a member of isla’s communities and would like to attend the event, there are 50 tickets available, priced at £195 each.
