Agiito has launched an online platform for planners to submit enquires and see venue rates and availability in real-time.

The feature is an addition to the travel and event management company’s existing Meetingspro platform and will be angled at those planning simple meetings and events.

"We are continually evolving the tool to stay abreast of the latest trends, bookers are empowered to make their own choices, and we offer a fully bespoke online experience for simple meetings”, said venue find and events director Caroline Medcalf.

“More importantly, our venue find operations teams can use their expertise to provide an offline, high-touch and dedicated service to our more complex bookings. So, it is no surprise our customer satisfaction scores are increasing.” Medcalf added.

Since migrating many it its customers to its technology platform, Agiito recorded a 22 per cent increase in online bookings which resulted in its venue finding team having more time to dedicate to complex bookings. Since then, customer service ratings have improved by 30 per cent, and overall productivity is up by 33 per cent.

The next stage of the feature will be to include a real-time booking function so users can view availability and then book meeting rooms end-to-end online in the same way travel has been booked for several years.

Medcalf added: “At a time of intense pressure on the industry resources, we are proud to have developed a solution that gives our customers more visibility of venues, faster service and further control over their meeting spend. In addition, these efficiencies allow us to optimise our resources within Agiito, which will only improve as the technology continues to develop."
