England’s capital city is home to 1,300 artificial
intelligence (AI) companies and considered the world’s most AI-driven city, factors which helped it secure the Chatbot Summit.
The Chatbot Summit will take place at ExCeL London in mid-October
this year, marking its first in-person conference since the Covid-19 pandemic. The
summit is also relocating from Berlin on account of London being a hotbed for
AI advancement.

The global spotlight has been on AI since the advent of ChatGPT,
a conversational AI software that, in its own words, “generates human-like
language and perform various natural language processing tasks, such as
answering questions, summarising text, and generating responses to prompts.”
It’s already widly used in a variety of industries,
including technology, finance, healthcare, education, media, and customer
service, among others, where natural language processing and language
generation are important for tasks such as customer support, content creation,
and data analysis.
Jane Hague, head of business development for conference and
events at ExCeL, said: “As well as London being the world’s most AI-driven
city, it is also ranked the highest for AI-education, so we hope this event
will act as a legacy for the city’s next generation, in particular our neighbour
and start-up partner the University of East London. We can’t wait to host the
Chatbot Summit at ExCeL.”
The event is expected to attract 2,000 delegates and 50
exhibitors to ExCeL London between 11-12 October.
