AI has become a regular topic of conversation, with varying views
on its use in the events industry. Now a trade show and tech company are giving
event professionals the chance to create their very own AI tool.
Ed Dench, founder of Zoby, a specialist agency looking to
support meaningful AI adoption by event professionals, will run three sessions
at CHS Manchester in September where he’ll invite event professionals to help
him create new software for the industry.
The 20-minute sessions will form part of the show’s
education programme and will see the creation of a new AI tool built in real-time.
Attendees will address the challenges they face, with
insights tested against wider industry research before a final AI-powered
solution is revealed.
Dench said: “The sessions are designed to bring event
professionals into the process, to share what’s not working for them, and then
start turning that into something useful, there and then.”
Emma King, founder and CEO, CHS Manchester, said: “We talk a
lot as an industry about AI, but not always in a way that feels practical. This
is different. This is us experimenting on behalf of our audience, creating
something with them that has real, everyday value. And if we get it right, it
won’t just live at the show, it will support the industry long after it
closes.”
CHS Manchester takes place at the AO Arena Manchester on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
