Event tech firm Glisser is set to go
into administration this week.
And founder Michael Piddock is appealing to the
rest of the sector to help the firm’s 25 employees find new roles.
Founded in 2014, the virtual and hybrid
meeting platform gained prominence and won awards for its slide sharing and
audience response system that shares presentation slides and polls to
smartphones in real-time.
Piddock is appealing to anyone in the
sector with open positions across sales, marketing, development and customer
success to get in touch with Glisser’s employees – and has provided a list of
people open to work.
Writing
on Linkedin on Friday (27 January), Piddock said: “Sadly, it looks like Glisser
will slip into administration next week. We've found a buyer for our platform,
but not for the broader business.
“There will be a time and a place to tell our story, but
right now my priority is finding new roles for 25 amazing people.

Commenting on the Linkedin post, ICE founder Anita Howard expressed dismay, saying "you have changed the way people interact with tech", while event tech expert Julius Solaris said "you have been a fighter in eventtech and your product has changed many events".
