In response to increased demand for booking meetings space online, Venues and Events International has
redeveloped its client booking portal functionality to improve user experience and support Instant Book.
Venues and Events International has historically provided clients with its bespoke booking system to
manage venue bookings online. Part of the service includes a client-branded portal, enabling bookers to
manage small meetings online while giving events and procurement teams visibility of all bookings.
The redeveloped portal introduces an improved user experience, and its Instant Book feature allows
bookers to log in, view rates and availability, and submit a frictionless enquiry linked directly to venue
inventory.
The upgrade is designed specifically for small meetings of up to 30 people, as increasing numbers
of venues move towards linking inventory with online booking systems.
Simplifying the booking process for small meetings gives bookers greater control and visibility, while
enabling Venues and Events International’s consultative venue find team to focus more time on more complex bookings and enquiries.
Venues and Events International has been rolling out its enhanced portal over the past couple of months
and is delighted by client feedback.
Laura Law, account director at Venues and Events International, said: “We pride ourselves on offering clients a consultative service. As part of this, we listen to
clients' needs and strive for continuous improvement.
“With more people working flexible hours, people need to be able to book meetings space outside of
standard hours. And, if they don’t necessarily require a high-touch service, our portal means we can meet
their changing needs as a greater number of venues move online, enabling Instant Book.
“We welcome more hotels and venues in the coming months to be able to offer this functionality as we
continue rolling the portal out to clients.”
