Hosted buyer registration is now open for the 10th edition of The Meetings Show, the UK’s leading event for the meetings and incentives industry, which takes place at ExCeL London on 29-30 June 2022.

The hosted buyer programme is designed to help busy meetings and events professionals maximise their time at the show by giving them fast-track access to the most relevant suppliers, education, and networking opportunities to meet their needs.

Hosted buyers attending the show for either one or two days, benefit from a dedicated appointments diary to book pre-scheduled meetings with exhibitors and are supported with travel, accommodation and a host of other benefits, such as access to the show’s comprehensive education programme.

Those attending the three-day programme can enjoy exclusive education at the pre-show conference, which returns for 2022, as well as attendance at the official welcome reception, both taking place on Tuesday 28 June. Hosted buyers will also be given the opportunity to take part in post-show fam trips to destinations across the UK. The tours highlight the best hotels, venues and attractions to help buyers get a real feel for what hosting an event in that destination would be like.

Bristol & Bath and Wales has already confirmed it will host post-show fam trips this year. The Meetings Show event director, Jack Marczewski, said: “We’re delighted to open hosted buyer registration for our 10th edition and look forward to helping meetings and event planners form valuable connections and make the most of their time out of the office.

“We welcome applications from both domestic and European planners keen to pre-book one-to-one meetings with our broad range of exhibitors. Our programme gives buyers’ complete control over who they want to meet with, while the three attendance options provide flexibility for those tight on time.”

Many buyers who have attended in the past, already have their sights set firmly on this year’s show. Gaynor England, director at Abstract Events and hosted buyer in 2021, said: “All the Abstract events team are attending The Meetings Show this year. We can’t wait to catch up with everyone and shout about our amazing industry being back.

“We are passionate about our industry and the past few years of unprecedented challenges has highlighted the importance of collaboration and promoting the value our industry brings to the UK and global economy. Attending as part of the hosted buyer programme allows us to have a structured appointment schedule to maximise the time we have at the show.”

All hosted buyers at The Meetings Show, including associations, agencies, PCOs, corporates, incentive houses, venue-finding agencies, and charities, are pre-qualified to participate based on the number and scale of events organised, budgets held and decision-making power.
