The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) has received enquiries tallying more than 16,860 delegate days’ worth of face-to-face events.
The data has been collected over the last three months from ABPCO’s web-based enquiry system, which links associations with ABPCO accredited professional conference organiser members.
To date, 10 enquiries, totalling 16,860 delegate days have been made. The events in question range from 50-1000 delegates for a minimum of one day to a maximum of six days per event.
The enquires indicate that confidence in face-to-face events is increasing and the need to employ a professional conference organiser to help deliver events is becoming more obvious.
“I am delighted to see that our messaging is getting out there and associations are recognising the vital need to use an accredited PCO, whether they are providing in-person, virtual or hybrid solutions,” ABPCO association director, Heather Lishman said. “There are many conference organisers out there – but to ensure the success of an event, associations really do need to be working with a professional who truly understands the unique needs of associations and their events.
“Once these meetings are fully realised, the in-person and hybrid elements will be better understood; but most important for us is the fact that so many organisations are planning their annual showcase events and heading to ABPCO members for their support.”
