Creative communication agency DRPG partnered with Performing Artistes, a talent agency providing speakers, hosts and presenters for events, to create a fun-filled virtual dinner party.

More than 160 dinner guests logged on to the virtual dinner party from across the UK. The evening was hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons who was accompanied by other familiar faces including comedy rapper Chris Turner.

The evening kicked off with an interactive quiz with courses being served between rounds.

Guests were also treated to a discussion from a professional sommelier who talked everyone through the suggested wine pairings picked for the evening.

Dale Parmenter CEO of DRPG and dinner party guest said: “It was a fantastic evening which we look forward to repeating soon, and another great example of the power of virtual events and experiences to connect people in this time of social distancing.

The main course was then accompanied by a rap from Chris Turner, which the audience helped to inspire via comments sent to him on the dinner party portal.

Following the main and dessert, diners were given a class on how to create the perfect ‘old fashioned’ cocktail or any cocktail that was possible to make from supplies in their cupboard.

“We might all be apart, but through the power of technology and with a little imagination, we can overcome these barriers and continue to do what we do best: create meaningful experiences for people to share together,” added Parmenter.

As part DRPG's initiative to keep the industry engaged during this time, it has also been running weekly thought leadership broadcasts, DRPG bitesize talks.

These sessions explore the issues being faced by businesses in the current climate. The broadcasts, which go out every Thursday at 3pm, share insight, advice and best practice for anyone facing the repercussions of the current COVID-19 crisis.
