In a targeted campaign to gain business from the UK association market, the eastside rooms has become the latest member of ABPCO (Association of British Professional Conference Organisers).

“We are delighted to welcome Eastside rooms to ABPCO membership.  Their commitment to welcoming association business is commendable and we look forward to working with them closely in the years to come," Heather Lishman, ABPCO's association director  said.

"In particular, ABPCO offers a wealth of opportunities to demonstrate excellence to a community of professional conference organisers across the UK.  Our focus includes significant learning opportunities for all our members and partners, allowing everyone to grow together and maximise success in the association conference market.”

“When the Eastside rooms was being designed, it was with association events strongly in mind,” commented Leanne Bladen, the eastside rooms sales director.

“The whole build has been executed in a really ethical way, allowing for inclusivity and accessibility right across our facilities. We’re also surrounded by industry expertise in the form of universities, R&D centres, and incubation hubs, covering everything from manufacturing and engineering, to medical and music. It makes the Eastside a very nice part of the city to base an association event.”

The eastside rooms is launching in October 2020 and sits within easy reach of three airports in and around Birmingham, linking it to mainline Europe. Event planners can find out more on the area from the Future Birmingham section on eastside room’s website. The interactive timeline shows new developments and buildings taking place in the area from now until 2030 and demonstrates how the skyline will change.

Enterprise Wharf opens in 2021 and is located next door to i-Centrum, home to the next generation of tech innovators. Enterprise Wharf will be a new centre for Birmingham’s growing digital and technology economy.

One Eastside will be Birmingham’s tallest building when it is completed in 2023. The building will be located next to the HS2 Curzon Street Station, two minutes from the upcoming HS2 railway line and five minutes from the Bullring and Grand Central Station.

The STEAMhouse opens in 2024 and is aimed at encouraging the collaboration of the arts, science, technology, engineering and maths (STEAM) sectors. It will be a melting pot of technology, workspace and business support services for businesses and individuals.

Eastside rooms is also looking to partner with other trade bodies and events, both in the UK and internationally, as a way to give more association event organisers and PCO’s early access to the facilities.
