Final call - take part in M&IT's Sexual Harassment Survey

Is sexual harassment an issue in the events industry? And if so, what should we do about it?

These are the questions we’re aiming to answer in the next issue of M&IT and we need your help - but there's not long left to take part.

The M&IT Sexual Harassment Survey aims to find out how many eventprofs have encountered inappropriate behaviour since working in the sector, where this behaviour is taking place and what changes eventprofs would like to see as we return to events and offices following Covid.

We’re hoping to gather as much data as possible to build as big a picture of the current state of the sector as we can. The survey should only take around 5-10 minutes of your time – and all responses will remain completely anonymous.

The results will appear in the May print edition of M&IT. If you want to help us make the sector a safer, more welcoming place to work, please take the time to complete the survey before Friday 1 April.

M&IT editor Paul Harvey said: "Nearly two decades on from the emergence of the #MeToo movement, stories of sexual harassment from all walks of life continue to make headlines the world over. As eventprofs return to planning and attending events in the post-Covid recovery, here at M&IT we want to discover the extent of sexual harassment in meetings and events, the existence of any sector-specific issues, and how we can work together as a sector to address these issues.

"All responses to this survey are completely anonymous, and we are encouraging people from every part of the sector to take part to help give us the most complete picture we can get. Whether you're a buyer or a supplier, or from an agency, corporate, association, venue or hotel - if you work in meetings and events, we want to hear from you."
