Hosted buyers can now register for the in-person element of this year’s hybrid instalment of IBTM World, taking place at Fira, Barcelona from 30 November to 2 December 2021.

The virtual element will follow from 7-9 December 2021.

IBTM World 2021 is going with the theme ‘New Business, New Tech, New World’ with a focus on getting people to meet again in whatever format.

Alongside one-to-one meetings and networking opportunities, IBTM World will offer educational sessions and a knowledge programme aimed at giving event professionals the tools they need to succeed in the future meetings market.

The knowledge programme will feature speakers from the meetings and events industry who will explore topics such as safety, sustainability, diversity and upskilling. There will be a separate buyer-led association and elite corporate programme with details on this yet to be announced.

IBTM World event director David Thompson said: “IBTM World is a major event in our industry’s calendar and one that unites us under one roof for three days of networking, learning and valuable business opportunities.

“After eighteen long months without an event of this stature, we invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to make genuine connections and get the knowledge and tools to thrive in 2022 and beyond. This year’s show will offer the best of both worlds, hosting physical and virtual shows to support the meetings and events industry.”

To ensure the in-person event runs safely, IBTM has worked closely with the local authorities and Fira Barcelona to implement all necessary precautions.
